What are the Spitfire Sessions?

By John Feakes

The Spitfire sessions are a series of audio programs hosted by Arron Bergeron and myself in which the Christian faith is systematically explained and defended. Each session is about 30 minutes in length. This ongoing series is laid out thus far as follows:

  1. Explaining and defending the use of apologetics in Christian evangelism
  2. Advancing a cumulative case for the existence of the Christian God
  3. Refuting arguments against God’s existence
  4. The positive case for the historical reliability of the New Testament
  5. Refuting arguments against the historical reliability of the New Testament

Why Spitfire?

Some have asked why we chose “spitfire” as the title for our series (one fellow even accused us of coming off as “combative” for using the term!) The answer is, Arron and I are both employed by the same aerospace company. Each meeting room in the company is assigned a specific name related to the aerospace industry (many are named after famous airplanes). The room we decided to record our series in was labelled The Spitfire Room; hence we decided to call our series The Spitfire Sessions.

What is the Wingman Series?

The Wingman Series is a collection of audio interviews with learned Christians who are also experts in a variety of disciples. Their education, experience and insight are of tremendous apologetic value. We’re sure you’ll benefit greatly from listening to these scholarly and godly individuals!
