The subject of religion is introduced and an overview of the histories and doctrines of the world’s most influential religions is explored. Thorough refutations from the Bible, as well as from science, history and philosophy are discussed.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is geared to equip you with the information necessary to refute the doctrines of the major world religions. The intent is to augment your personal evangelistic efforts that Christ may be glorified thereby. At the end of this module, you should

Know:

  • The definition, origin, and nature of religion in general, and of various world religions in particular
  • What dangers various other religious philosophies pose to the Christian Church
  • Practical strategies for engaging devotees of various word religions

Value:

  • The positive case for the reliability of the Bible based on science, history and philosophy, as the strongest refutation of opposing religious doctrines

Do:

  • Acquire a sense of confidence in Scripture as reliable and defensible
  • Become adept with the doctrines and apologetics of various world religions
  • Develop the skill of tactfully refuting the claims of opposing religions in your personal evangelistic efforts
