Book Review: “The Greatest Hoax on Earth?: Refuting Dawkins on Evolution”by Jonathan Sarfati

As expected, everyone’s favourite flag-waving atheist, Richard Dawkins, has released yet another book denouncing Christianity, whilst singing the praises of the nature myth known as the evolution story. This latest Dawkins diatribe is entitled “The Greatest Show on Earth” and it claims to at last give us actual evidence for evolution – something he admits he had not done in previous publications. So has Dawkins made good on his claim? Does “The Greatest Show” indeed give evidence for evolution powerful enough to provide rational justification for moving the evolution story from the realm of mythology into that of actual history? The answer is a resounding “no” and the brilliant Johnathan Sarfati of CMI (Creation Ministries International) explains why. Dr. Sarfati examines thoroughly, and refutes decisively, all of Dawkins’ so-called evidences for evolution in his own volume, “The Greatest Hoax on Earth? Refuting Dawkins on Evolution.”  This book is a “must read” for anyone interested in the creation/evolution controversy. Sarfati masterfully deals with the very best evidences for evolution, and in an informative but readable manner, provides his readers with all of the pertinent information – something Dawkins consistently fails to do. With all the cards the table, the evolution story is shown to be nothing more than a baseless faith system. Furthermore, Dawkins’ reputation as a brilliant, scientifically minded academician is seriously thrown into question by Sarfati’s critical but fair evaluation of his work.
