Outreaches

C.A.R.E. Ministries of Winnipeg's mandate is to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to encourage it's acceptance through solid scientific and historic evidences. It is also our mandate to equip and encourage other believers to actively defend the faith in their own communities.

Public Seminars

C.A.R.E.'s mandate is to address the stumbling blocks to faith. Evolution, empiricism, atheism, agnosticism, post-modernism, other religious worldviews, cults and the occult, are some of the topics addressed by C.A.R.E. team members in exciting and eye opening multi-media presentations. These seminars have already served to strengthen the faith and witness of Christians throughout Canada and the U.S., while giving non-Christians compelling reasons to accept Christ's wonderful invitation.

Debates

C.A.R.E. team members are prepared to defend their belief in the historical accuracy of the Bible against representatives of any competing worldview. Sorry, no e-mail debates, but we'd be happy to arrange a time where we can exchange ideas in person privately or in a public debate setting.

Teaching and Doing - Humanitarian Outreaches

Defending the faith with sound arguments is important, but certainly no more important than caring for the physical needs of others. In accordance with Biblical mandate, C.A.R.E. also does it's part to alleviate some of the hunger in downtown Winnipeg.

In the past the C.A.R.E. Team bought and prepared food for the homeless in downtown Winnipeg on a bi-weekly basis. This we did faithfully for over five years. These people had the Gospel preached to them louder and clearer than any debate forum could. This was God's love - in action!

God's love in action. The C.A.R.E. team hits the street every-other-Sunday to feed the less fortunate in downtown Winnipeg. Jesus said that the poor we would always have with us (until He comes back and fixes the problem personally!), but in the meantime, we can all do a little to help folks who are struggling through life.

Since the summer of 2006 we've been partnered with Siloam Mission, a wonderful humanitarian outreach situated in downtown Winnipeg. They are able to minister to far more people more effectively than we ever could on our own.

Our intent was to continue ministering with Siloam on a bi-weekly basis, but with the museum up and running, kids club, and busy speaking schedule, this is simply impossible. As a result our volunteering at Siloam has become sporadic. Our ministry however continues to support this important outreach. We encourage you to consider how you might assist the folks at Siloam Mission. Their website is at http://www.siloammission.com/

One thing we do remain committed to is our annual downtown barbecue. Every fall we set up a trailer and offer free hotdogs, drinks, chips, ice cream. We also offer footcare, live gospel music, and open-air preaching. This last year (2007) we saw hundreds of lives touched with the love of Christ and at least one girl accepting the Lord's gracious offer to save her.

Manitoba's First Museum of Creation

Featured in many of our seminars are paleontological artifacts which testify to the trustworthiness of the biblical account of creation and the flood. Castings and reproductions of many such artifacts can be viewed in the Creation Museum at 621 Oxford Street. As far as we know, this is the first "creation evidence" type museum in Manitoba. See the Museum Page for information on some of the artifacts C.A.R.E. has already acquired!

This museum would also function as a resource center, with plenty of educational materials such as books, videos, audio tapes and CD's pertinent to the question of origins and biblical historicity. It would also be used to host seminars, debates, Bible studies and worship services. We also have plans to have a small coffee shop on site for visitors to sit and chat about what they've seen in the museum. A great place to bring a friend!

Get in the Game!

If you've never trusted Jesus Christ as your own Saviour, please consider the information on this site carefully. We honestly believe that your eternity depends on how you respond to Jesus and His offer to save you from the penalty of sin. For those of you who have come to Christ, this is a reminder that there's a ton of work to be done for the Lord. If your not actively serving the Lord this reminder is meant to make you feel a little uncomfortable. Let's all get in the game by finding something to do for our great God and Saviour.
