The "Giant's" Axe
This intriguing stone tool was found by archaeologist Murray Hiebert in Swan Lake, Manitoba. It's enormous size makes it appear impractical, leading some to suppose that it was made for ornamental purposes. However, The Bible states in many places that people of enormous stature once inhabited our world. Was this artifact made for ornamental purposes, or was it indeed fashioned by the hand of a giant?

Who could have swung an axe that big? At right is a tracing of Leonid Stadnyk's right hand (made from the one on display in Dr. Hovind’s museum, Pensacola Fl, (850) 479-3466). Leonid stands 8 ft 4 inches tall. Suddenly Murray's axe head doesn't seem so big - not when compared to the hand of a modern day giant!

Dr. Baugh thought the axe head was a valuable and very interesting artifact, though he wasn't convinced that it was made by a giant. Here he prepares to photograph it for his telecast.
