The Neck of the Giraffe
In order to get blood up into its head - some 17 feet in the air - the giraffe has been equipped with a powerful heart which measures more than 2 feet in length. This poses an interesting problem for the giraffe when he lowers his to get a drink. The pressure from that heart pushing blood "downhill" ought to rupture his brain. To prevent this from happening, God has equipped the giraffe with a complex series of valves which run down its neck. As the giraffe lowers its neck to get a drink, these valves close, cutting off blood from the heart. When the giraffe hears the lion approaching he must raise his head 17 feet into the air in a split second and start running. How is this possible when the blood supply from the heart has been cut off? God has than one covered too.

In His wisdom the Creator has given the giraffe a complex "mesh" of blood vessels - something like a sponge - around its brain which catches the last pump of blood before the valves close. In this way the brain is kept oxygenated while blood from the heart has stopped. How in the world can anyone believe that these incredible, interdependent components just "evolved" in step-by-step process over endless ages of time? The evidence points to the the giraffe as being specially created; a colossal object lesson for skeptics to ponder!
